Hello all. Although I have tried to be a better blogger I’m not really doing much better than before. Last night I was up until 3am making a birthday card for my grandson. Yes, it was last minute but before that I was actually going to buy one.
I’m not very good with cards in general and I don’t have any stamps for young boys. So, I was visiting with a friend yesterday and she had just gotten this set of stamps in the mail. I stamped out a few images and thought I might play around with them if I felt like it.
After our normal 2 hour dip in the hot tub I decided to color the little spaceships and see which one I liked. Since I couldn’t decide which one I liked best I just HAD to use them all lol! Without further ado…here is my 3am spaceship birthday card. Good thing Leo is only 6 years old.
Before I forget and think I have to write another post…Leo loved his card- – it was certainly colorful don’t you think. That’s probably the only reason I was able to stay awake so long working on it, because of the bright colors.

Oh what fun today! I have been challenged by Anne Ray to participate in picture fun.
The rules for this challenge are – Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the SIXTH folder and pick the SIXTH photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a SHORT story about it. Tag SIX people and leave a comment on their blog or email them letting them know you chose them.
Lucky me it was a picture of me. Let me tell you they are few and far between. I avoid the camera like a toothache. This picture was taken in a hotel that was home to us for 14 months while our house was being rebuilt. We had three electrical fires in the span of five days and I’m sure you can tell by the picture just how happy I was at the time:) I was going through stacks of paper trying to figure out and tally everything we had lost due to the fire, which was basically everything but the boys and the dog. This was fine with us because all of the rest was stuff…never the less it was exhausting and it took it’s toll on all of us. Mark, my darling hubby, was trying out his new camera and I was his subject…lucky me…just for your viewing pleasure.

Hello everyone. I know it’s been a while but I hope to do better for 2009. Things have been rather hectic here just as I’m sure they have been for you too. However, I have been in a personal funk and I am trying hard to pull myself out of it.
Enough of that. At least I did take a few pictures of the cards I have made. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures of all of them. Or maybe that’s a good thing, depends on your perspective I guess lol.
This first card is Polly Packages and I got her in an image swap. Just love this stamp….might have to buy her for next year.
These are from my first set of Magnolia’s. I joined the Magnolia club and got a whole set of stamps in November…awesome stamps!
This next card is a Whiff Of Joy stamp.
Last but not least is a snowman image I received from a group I belong to. I believe it is from TAC.
That’s all for now. I hope I haven’t bored you all to death. Hopefully I will have more to share soon. I have colored many images that I have to make into cards. I think what I really need is just a coloring book with good quality pages to color lol.
Oops, I almost forgot my actual Christmas card…can you believe that, duhh!

Of course this one is also for a blog candy offering going on at Kim’s page at Wish on a Scrap. I always love to see what Kim is up to…because she’s always up to something…and she’s very good at it. Yes, I know that was a very long run on sentence but you get my gist right.
Anyway, you have to make a card that incorporates the way you personally dress. Colors, style, hair color….hopefully not wrinkles hehe. My card is of a girl painting wearing blue jeans (my staple since I have been off from work) a green top and red hair. That’s all me. If I could have done her eyes they would have been green too. Of course she is make a picture for a card right?

I have a strong desire to do something for someone else………… and give each person that helps me a chance to win some goodies! Honestly, don’t you always feel bettter after you have done something that you know will make someone else smile? I know I do! So here is what I want to do- we have a local Ronald McDonald’s House that is affiliated with the University of Michigan. I feel blessed that I have healthy children as I honestly do not know how those parents can do it. RMH is home to many sick children and their parents while their little ones are inpatient or getting treatment of all sorts. I want to collect cards for them to send out, I am looking for general cards such as Thinking of You, You make me smile, Thank you, I am there for you, Friendship ……… anything you think that they would use.
My goal is 100 cards- so please help me reach that goal- and all you ladies over seas/Canada – you have lots of time to mail those cards to me- I will leave this open until December 1st. I will then draw a winner on Thursday December 4th.

I had to make a card for my SIL’s birthday that is coming up. Always difficult for me to make cards for men but I keep on trying. I got this image from one of the swap’s I was in a while ago and this was the only one left. You know what that means…no wiggle room for mistakes.
I’m pretty happy with the way the card turned out. I have decided I like the look of cards that have been decorated on the inside too so I wanted to give it a try.
The paper is SU Purely Pomegranate, Pacific Point, Basic Blackand the DP is from the DCWV Fall Stack. I used my Copics for coloring.
Hello Sistahs, I am writing because there is a wonderful little boy out there that needs our love. His name is Daniel and he is going to be 11 very soon. I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I just love all of the little kiddies in their costumes….but I can’t believe it’s already November! I hosted a SU demonstration at my house yesterday and I just wanted to share what we made with you. I wish I could take credit for these cards but I can’t. Well, I did make them but of course everyone else made the same card so I can’t have any credit. I hope you like them anyway. The demo was great fun as always. Lots of food, talking, jokes and of course stamping.
Of course everything is SU but all of you SU demonstrators will know the names of everything better than I do. This last card is my personal favorite and it was so fun to make. However, when it comes to buying I think I just might have to buy the tree before it’s discontinued. As always, please ignore my lousy photos. Hopefully Santa is going to be good to me this year and drop off a new camera at my house. Until next time.

Sorry I’m a little late. This came on Monday and it’s already Saturday but I still wanted to make sure I give a big Thank Youto Danyel, my Bella Sistah. I received a FedEx box that was filled with goodies. I did my best to take pictures for you but a photographer I am not!
Although this picture is fuzzy it gives you an idea of how full the box was right.
This was a little canister that had a pack of gum (on the left) a couple of ink pens, a candle and 2 small cards inside of it. Also Danyel made a little box out of card stock and put 3 small cards inside of it.
With this picture I tried to include as much as I could. As you can see there are stickers, ribbons, yarn, coasters, SU discontinued cardstock (thank you very much), buttons, dimensionals, a jumbo clip, drink mixes from Tastefully Simple…

THE BRICK
A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag’s side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, ‘What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That’s a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?’ The young boy was apologetic. ‘Please, mister….please, I’m sorry but I didn’t know what else to do,’ He pleaded. ‘I threw the brick because no one else would stop…’ With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. ‘It’s my brother,’ he said ‘He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can’t lift him up.’ Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned Executive, ‘Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He’s hurt and he’s too heavy for me.’
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. ‘Thank you and may God bless you,’ the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.
It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: ‘Don’t go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!’ God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don’t have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It’s our choice to listen or not.
Thoughts for the Day:
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Face it, my friends – He is crazy about you!
God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Read this line very slowly and let it sink in…
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
