A New Sugar Nellie Card

Hello all….Sorry I haven’t posted anything for a while.  I have just gotten over pneumonia, bronchitis (still coughing though) and a serious, nasty sinus infection.  Let me tell you…it definitely kicked my butt.

Anyhoo, I just finished a card for my Grandaughters birthday and thought I would share it with you.  I just love all of the Sugar Nellie stamps but these Manga girls are adorable. My camera skills need a little work…or a lot I guess LOL.  This picture really doesn’t capture the personality of the card.

Mia, our granddaughter, is a princess…just ask her!  So the only color that will work for this princess is PINK.

Unfortunately there are things on the card that you probably can’t really see.  I made it a point to make the image sit exactly on the edge of the bottom layer of paper.  Also I used glossy accents to puff up her hair bow and then I ended up pretty much hiding it by framing the Manga image.  I have texturized her boots with copic blending solution on a piece of old terry cloth. Last I framed her to set her off and make her kind of pop out at you…which worked but I had to soften that just a bit with some whitewashing on the borders  of the frame.

I then added gems with my new I-Rock tool, to the top of the frame to make it kind of look like a Crown.  Last but not least I added this awesome flower that I received from Jacque. It’s from Wild Orchid flowers and I just added a little yellow stickles to give it some zip.

Materials used: Stampin Up Pink Pirouette cardstock, the DP is DCWV Sweet Stash. I used Nestabillities Labels 10 and Imaginisce assorted bling and the tool. Wild Orchid Paper Flower.

Copics used: E000 E00 E21 R20
RV000 RV11 RV14 RV34 RV09
Y21 Y23 YR21 YR23
E35 E29 E25

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy my SugarNellie card made with the sweet little Manga Girl image. I gladly accept any and all comments where I need to improve.  Please take the time to let me now what you think of my card and what I could do to improve it.

I’m going to enter this card in a new challenge group called Southern Girls Challenge where the challenge right now is Anything Goes!  In case you’ve never been here before that is my goal…to enter challenges since I’m very new to them.

Hugz,

Cheri
